Iranian hand-woven carpet expo to open in Los Angeles
Iranian hand-woven carpet exhibition will be held in Los Angeles in December 2009, Iranian official said on Saturday.
Head of the Union of Hand-Woven Carpets Producers and Exporters Akbar Harischian told IRNA on Saturday that Iranian private sector has sponsored holding the exhibit in the U.S.

Harischian said more works are needed to be done for marketing in the US terming it lucrative for the Persian carpet compared to Europe.

He predicted a booming hand-woven carpet business in Iran for the next six months and said this necessitates working overseas to lure more customers and markets for the commodity.
